A message from our academic director

“IP students don’t need a tutor.They need a mentor.”

IP students are the hardest to teach. There’s no exam looming, no obvious deadline to motivate the work. It’s easy to coast.

But coasting through IP is a waste of time and talent. These years are for self-discovery — for figuring out who you are, what you love, and what you’re capable of. That doesn’t happen in a classroom drilling for an exam that isn’t coming.

IP students don’t need a tutor. They need a mentor. Someone who can ignite their interests, stretch their potential, and bring out the best in them. That’s what we built MACRO IP to be.

The structure

Built around how IP schools actually teach.

Every IP school in Singapore runs its own syllabus, with its own Written Assignments, set texts, and pace. Generic tuition can’t keep up. So we split our lessons into two parts.

Part one

Lectures

Universal English and Lit skills that work across every IP school.

OnlineOnce a week2 hours
  • Live, recorded, and rewatchable
  • Split by Year 1, 2, 3, and 4
  • In-class practices and homework assigned
  • Skills covered: comprehension, summary, essay, prose, poetry

Part two

Tutorials

In-person teaching customised to your specific IP school’s syllabus.

In-personOnce a week2 hours
  • Coverage of your school’s WAs and set texts
  • Reinforcement of homework from the lecture
  • Same year-group split
  • Small classes for direct mentor attention
