How we teach science at MACRO.
Most tuitions simply repeat what schools teach. Our tutors from Oxbridge & Ivy League universities have developed a proprietary framework we use to turn content knowledge into real marks in the exam. We call it the Distil It Framework — named after the core technique learned in Secondary Science.
Most marks are lost to misreading, not misknowing. We train students to isolate exactly what the question is asking — the property being tested, the technique required, the specific condition that changes the answer — before writing a single word.
"The water evaporates" scores zero. "Water molecules gain sufficient kinetic energy to escape from the liquid surface as vapour" scores full marks. We strip every student answer down to the precise scientific language examiners are trained to reward.
Knowing a concept in revision is not the same as producing it under pressure at 2pm on exam day. We drill each technique until the response forms reliably — not from memory, but from understanding that doesn't break under stress.

G3 Science is the gateway to every JC science subject combination.
To take Chemistry, Biology, or Physics at H2 level in Junior College, your child must achieve G3 in Lower Secondary Science. From 2028, only G3 subjects count toward L1R4. The window to build the right foundation is Sec 1 and Sec 2 — not Sec 3, when it is too late to change track.
